Stanley Evans

Bean Station, TN

Stanley Evans, age 64, a resident of Bean Station, TN since 2013 and a long-time resident of Bell County, passed away at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, on Friday, March 6, 2020, after a long battle with lung disease.

He was born on April 25, 1955, to the late Floyd Buster and Marine (Miracle) Evans of Clear Creek. Stan was a member of Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was loved by all, especially his devoted wife of 27 years, Deidra Davis-Evans, whom he married on May 30, 1992.

Stan was a simple man – one who will be remembered for his passion toward all the things he loved. The kindness, generosity, and compassion he continuously showed to so many will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the following members of his family:

Brother: Alton “Mooch” Evans; In-Laws: Fred and Kitty Davis; Brother-in-Law: Warren Davis

Niece: Lisa Davis Mace

Survivors include the following members of his family:

His wife of 27 Years: Deidra Davis-Evans

Brothers: Rabon (Barbara) Evans, Ralph Evans, and Zyndall (Vivian) Evans

Sisters: Mildred (Harold) Underwood, Wilma Evans, Audrey Fuson, and Reda (Norman) Barnett

Brothers-in- Law: Murrell (Cynthia) Davis and Freddy (Wilma) Davis

Sister-in-Law: Beulah Davis Lykins (Jim)

Special Friends: Walter and Sally Mullins, Ova and Willene Land and Pam Greene

Lifelong Friend: John Freeman

And a host of other very special family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Barnett presiding.  Music will be provided by Thomasa Risner and Neville Anne Barton.

Interment will be private.

Pallbearers will be Stan’s nephews: James Barnett, Travis Evans, Dean Underwood, Scotty Fuson, Michael Underwood, Dusty Evans, Adam Barnes, Shannon Conley, Will Thompson, Jimmy Lykins, Craig Smith, Justin Van Meter and Freddy Davis.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Creech Funeral Home.
