Randy Wayne Patterson

Randy Wayne Patterson, age 72, of Speedwell, TN, went to the celestial mansion of our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Patterson; his father, Calvin and his mother, Josephine Patterson; all of Speedwell, Tennessee.

He is survived by his brothers, David Patterson of Cookeville, TN and Gary Patterson (wife Terri) of Rose Hill, VA; sister, Donna Kay Patterson of Middlesboro, KY; his three children, Joel W. Patterson of Knoxville, TN, Selena Elbl (husband Frank) of Louisville, KY, and Amanda Gidens (husband Jonathan) of Harrogate, TN and a stepdaughter, Cindy Feltner of Tazewell, TN. 

Randy has six grandchildren, Joseph, Victoriano, Rose, Joshua, Liliana, and Annabella; one great granddaughter, Kayden; and two step-grandchildren, Trevor and Dustin. Randy also has a large family of uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Randy was a graduate of Powell Valley High School. He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. Randy was fond of cars, NASCAR, his church, family history, and conversation.

The family of Randy Wayne Patterson will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Red Hill Baptist Church in Speedwell, Tennessee with funeral services to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Mundy officiating. Music will be provided by David Evans of Red Hill Baptist Church and the Red Hill Baptist Church Choir.

Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral service at Red Hill Cemetery in Speedwell, TN. Pallbearers will be Jody Beeler, David Patterson, Gary Patterson, Joseph Gidens, Joshua Gidens, Trevor Gulley, Victoriano Elbl, and honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Gidens and Frank Elbl.

Randy was a loving member of his church, Red Hill Baptist. In lieu of flowers, Randy’s children request that offerings should be donated to the Red Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.

Daddy is finally at rest.
