Mary Helen White

Mary “Helen” White, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away March 24, 2023, at 6:08 p.m. She was born on April 30, 1942, the daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie Overton. Helen was married to the late Carl Eugene White, Sr. from July 01, 1961, until his death on March 19, 1999.

Helen worked at Excello Shirt Factory and was a seamstress by trade. She was an active member of the Apostolic Church, in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Orville, Herbert, Earl and Elmer “Buddy” Overton and sisters, Vertie Rice and Myrtle Colinsworth.

Survivors include, one sister, Billiejean (J.R.) Byrge, of Naples, Florida; daughters, Diane Moore (Jason Damos) of Morristown, Tennessee, Rhonda (Mark) McCloud of New Tazewell, Tennessee,  Kathy (Ronnie) Mills of Barbourville, Kentucky, Vietta Barnett of Harrogate, Tennessee; son, Carl, Jr. (Lisa) White of Middlesboro, Kentucky; grandchildren, Dawn Roe, Donny (Heather) Roe, Carlene (Randall) Elliott, Alicia (Richard) Enz, Mark (Latoya) McCloud, Jonathan Leach, Chasity Powers, Erica Mills, Derick Mills, Chuckie Ray (Kimberly) Barnett, Victoria Barnett (Cory Stark), Aaron White, Brandon White, Dakota Witherspoon, and Josh Cook; great-grandchildren, Amy, Hayden, Hailie, Carmen, Justin, Adiana, Daelyn, Jonathan, Sofia, Micah, Nathan, Chase, Landon, Shylann, Kaylee, Lorenzo, Jackson, Cheyenne, Emma, and Maverick as well as a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family of Mary “Helen” White will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Apostolic Church, Middlesboro, Kentucky with Reverend Charles Bush presiding.  Graveside services will immediately follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be, Jonathan Leach, Bradon White, Dakota Witherspoon, Richard Enz, Justin McMahan, Nathan Powers, Landon Barnett, and Chuckie Ray Barnett.
