Janie Lawson

Janie Sue Lawson, age 70 of Miracle, KY, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Tennova North in Knoxville, TN, surrounded by her family.  She was born January 12, 1950, the daughter of the late Bill and Nancy Ellen Wilder of Miracle, KY.

She was married to the love of her life, Gerald Lawson, on November 27, 1971.  She gave her life to the Lord and was a member of The House of Prayer.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving Husband, Gerald Lawson; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Cager and Ada Lawson; Brothers, Martin, Hugh, Lowell, Winston and Britt Wilder; Sister, Deborah (Wilder) Hunley; Brother’s-in-law, Larue Lawson, Jim Lee and King Roark; Sister’s-in-law, Jolene Lawson and Minnie Wilder

She is survived by the following members of her family:

Daughter:  Melissa Sue (Bert) Marcum of Middlesboro, Kentucky

Son:  Joseph (Beverly) Lawson of Middlesboro, Kentucky

Grandchildren:  Jessica Sue Burnett of Middlesboro, Kentucky and Johnathan (Mikayla) Burnett of Artemus, KY

Brother:  Roger (Deed) Wilder of Miracle, KY

Sisters:  Rose Ann Roark of Corbin, KY, Ruth Lee of Miracle, KY, Patsy Wilder of Corbin, KY, and Deena (Jimmy) Nelson of Des Arc, MO

Special family members, Marion and Goldina Lawson, Deb Wilder and Louise Wilder

And a host of brother’s-in-law, sister’s-in law; nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with James Wilder and Jimmy Nelson presiding.  Pallbearers are Joseph Lawson, Johnathan Burnett, Bert Marcum Jr., Cager Lawson, Roger Wilder, Josh Lawson, Chris Smith, Chris Lawson and Chris Lucarelli.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Cubbage Cemetery, in Cubbage, Kentucky.
