Ellen Collins

Ellen Collins, age 58 of Middlesboro KY, passed away on September 25, 2021, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, KY.  She was born August 22, 1963, the daughter of Wilma Dean Brock and Alvin Jones of Pineville KY.  Ellen was a woman with many titles, Wife, Mother, Teacher, Friend and her favorite title of all was Mamaw.  Ellen loved her grandchildren, Samuel and Chandler more than words could ever describe.  Ellen was a teacher for over 20 years and helped shape many children throughout the years.  Ellen was a huge fan of Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, and her family is sure of the fact that he was the first person she hunted down once she gained her wings in Heaven.  Many refer to her as “the funniest person I’ve ever met” and they aren’t wrong, Ellen had a sense of humor that everyone loved.

She is survived by the following:

Her loving husband of 11 years, Keith Collins; Daughters, Adrienne Hooker, Courtney Hooker, Madison Hoskins and Jennifer Kinningham. Ellen had several grandchildren and 2 grand-dogs, Romina and Paddington.  Stepchildren, Karlee and Ryan; a loving sister, Alvina Jones; and a host of other family members, friends, co-workers, and her loving dog Bendi.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor David King presiding.  Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Oakview Cemetery in Middlesboro, KY.

Pallbearers will be Keith Collins, Jerry Bogucki, Bradley Bogucki, Daniel Baker, Matt Wyoff and Gary Hooker.
