David Murrell, Jr.

David Wayne Murrell, Jr., 41, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away Thursday November 25, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

He was born March 30, 1980 in Westland, MI, the son of David Wayne Murrell, Sr. and Kathy Garland, both of whom survive.

He had been a truck driver for Rocky Road Transportation.  He was preceded in death by: Aunt, Teresa Decker, Cousin, Shawn Manuel, Grandparents, Martha Murrell, Robert Murrell and Richard Garland.  He is survived by the following members of his family:

Wife: Kristy Murrell

Daughter and Son-in-law: Hannah and Dylan McGuire

Son: David Jacob Murrell

Mother: Kathy Garland

Father: David Murrell Sr.

Grandmother: Francis Pell

Sister and Brother-in-law: Christine and Jeremy Tong

Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Brian and Bridget Murrell, Kevin and Victoria Murrell

Special Godson: Brantley Austin Murrell

Step-Son: Nathaniel McCarty

And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Coots presiding.  Music will be provided by Greg Coots and Lewis Tuberville.

Interment services will be private.

The family of David Wayne Murrell, Jr. will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Cawood Funeral Home.
