Darla Gibson

Darla Jean Gibson, age 64, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, KY.  She was born December 28, 1957, the daughter of Della Mae Chadwell and the late William Calvin Gibson.

Darla was of the Baptist faith and attended Dunlap Baptist Church. Her passion was making arts and crafts.  She supported many churches and schools with her generosity and kindness of donations.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Harold Chadwell; her father, William Calvin Gibson; and her grandparents, Zeb Vance Rykard and Icia Mae Rykard.

She is survived by the following:

Her loving mother, Della Mae Chadwell

Sisters, Robin (Todd) Stotz and Melissa (Ronald) Archer

Brothers, Keith (Sharon) Gibson and Zeb (Kendra) Gibson

Special friends, Brenda Turner and Claudette Minor

And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of Darla Jean Gibson will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Daniels presiding.  Music will be provided by Ronnie Carey, Teresa Carey and Liza Daniels.

Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral service at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.  Pallbearers will be Ronald Archer, Brandon Archer, Keith Gibson, A. J. Gibson, Zeb Gibson and Shaun Gibson.
