Bobby Smith

Bobby R. Smith, age 84, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, KY.

He was born March 17, 1937, the son of the late Cora Edith Mays Smith and Dewey Milburn Smith of Middlesboro, KY.

He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Mount Hebron Baptist Church.  He had worked for many years and retired from the Middlesboro Tanning Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Marie Smith; sisters, Helen Sue Smith and Ann Hall; brothers, Doug Smith, Roy Lee Smith, James Smith and Tubby Smith; and great-grandson, Easton Lake Montgomery.

He is survived by the following:

Stepchildren, Deloris Huff of Corbin, KY, Marlene (Ray) Green of Ewing, VA, Ronald (Teresa) Carey of Middlesboro, KY and Sue (Kenny) Barnett of Middlesboro, KY.

Brother, John (Shelia) Smith of Middlesboro, KY.

Sister, Betty (David) Kimsey of Harrogate, TN.

The family of Bobby R. Smith will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Jack Daniels presiding.  Music will be provided by the Dunlap Baptist Church Choir.

A Graveside service and interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.
