Anna Bailey

Anna Lou Bailey, age 86, a resident of Ewing, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Tri-State Health and Rehab in Harrogate, Tennessee.

Anna was born on April 3, 1934 in Ewing, Virginia to the late John Sewell and Emma Clounce Denny. She was married to the late Reverend Lee Bailey for 56 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Jimmy and Hubert.

Anna attended the Gibson Station Baptist Church in Ewing, Virginia.

She is survived by the following members of her family:

2 daughters: Linda (Bill) Madary of Lafayette, Indiana and Sherry Bailey Barnes of Ewing, Virginia

4 grandchildren: Matthew (Krystal) Waples of Delphi, Indiana, Michael Waples of Lafayette, Indiana, Jason (Christine) Barnes of Ewing, Virginia, and Leslie (Jason) Hunter of Speedwell, Tennessee

8 great-grandchildren: Benjamin Flores, Levi Flores, Kira Waples, Ottie Waples, Hunter Madigan, Kylie Grace Barnes, Tiffany Eldridge and Brantley Hunter

Siblings: Barbara (Fred) Feller of Speedwell, Tennessee, Forester Denny of Lafayette, Indiana, Alvin (Judy) Denny of West Point, Indiana, Dora Cox of Muncy, Indiana, Joe Denny of Ewing, Virginia and Michelle Denny of Ewing, Virginia

The family of Anna Lou Bailey will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Cawood Funeral Home chapel in Middlesboro, Kentucky. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in the chapel at the Cawood Funeral Home in Middlesboro, Kentucky with Rev. Dale Meyers presiding. Music will be provided by Aaron Hunter.

A private family graveside service for Anna Lou Bailey will take place on Friday, April 9, 2021. Her grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers: Matthew Waples, Michael Waples, Jason Barnes and Jason Hunter
