Angela Gipson

Angela Collett Gipson, age 56,of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed from this life on April 6, 2022 at the Middlesboro ARH with her family by her side. She was born July 25, 1965 in Pineville, Kentucky and is the daughter of Rev. Ray Collett and Sharon Collett.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Rev. Irving Gipson; daughters, Amber Gipson Collett and Ameilia Gipson; grandaughters, Chloe Gipson, Abbie Collett and Sophie Collett; brother, Richard (Julie) Collett; sister, Rebecca (Rev. Edward "Eddie") Overholt; and brother and sister-in-law, Caleb and Janice Gipson.

She was a member of the Bethany Christian Church of Ewing, Virginia. She held a Master's of Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands and was an accountant for over 30 years. Prior to her work as an accountant, she taught at Mill Creek Christian Academy, Gateway Christian School, and J. Frank White Academy-where she also served as the cheerleading coach.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Margie Collett; maternal grandmother, Ora Mae Stephens; father-in-law, Paul Gipson; and mother-in-law Loraine Knuckles.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 10, 2022, in the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro Kentucky from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m with Rev. Bill Duncan officiating.  Music will be provided by Crystal Brooks, Thelma Goodman, Paul Caleb Gipson, Joshua Gipson and Ben Howard.

Entombment Service will be Monday, April 11, 2022, in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers include: Richard Collett, Elliott Collett, Dalton Collett, Tyler Overholt, Paul Caleb Gipson, and Josh Gipson.
