Willie Wayne Duffield, age 47, of Harrogate, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at his home. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Monday, August 14, 1978, to Leonard and Glenda (Partin) Duffield who survive.
Willie graduated from Powell Valley High School in 1996 as the football program’s all-time leader in rushing yards.
Willie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William H. and Pearl Duffield, his maternal grandparents, Rev. Willie Lee Partin and Francis and Nellie Partin Yeary, and a special nephew, Devin Smith.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Leonard and Glenda Duffield; his daughter, Kyla MacKenzie Duffield; her mother, Adrianne Stephens; his granddaughter, Kamryn Kate Duffield; his brother, Edward Duffield; his sister, Jane, and husband, T.J. Hurst; his nephews, Craig Smith, Daniel Hurst, J.T. Hurst, and Cody Hurst; his nieces, Emily Duffield, Alyssa Duffield, Erica Hurst, and Emma Hurst; six grandnephews; two grandnieces; and a special friend, Mark Rosenbalm.
The family of Willie Duffield will receive friends on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Middlesboro Church of God Mountain Assembly. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. with Revs. Lonnie Lyke and Michael Padgett presiding.
At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to Mountain View Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee, where graveside services will be held.
Pallbearers will be Terry Massengill, Jeremy Shafer, Andy Fuson, Mark Rosenbalm, J.T. Hurst, and Jarrod Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Smith, Daniel Hurst, Allen Smith, and Kallen Smith.
