Velma "Bonnie" Evans Davis

Velma "Bonnie" Evans Davis, age 71, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital, Middlesboro, KY. She was born December 27, 1954, in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of the late Sil “Bud” Evans and Beulah Mason Evans.

She was a member of Beans Fork Baptist Church. She was strong in the faith.

Velma was a decent person; a gentle soul. Someone who liked people and liked being part of the world around her. Someone who remembered everything and everyone. She never forgot a single name-not once. Every precious memory of her is cherished by her family.

In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death, by her sister-in-law Debbie Evans and brother-in-law Paul “Pap” Parsons.

Survivors include her husband, Ernie Davis, Middlesboro, KY; brothers, Perry (Nancy) Evans, Jerry Evans, Middlesboro, KY; sisters, Peggy Parsons, Pineville, KY, Carolyn (Herman) Hensley, Middlesboro, KY, and Pearl (Kelvin) Tonks, Clinton, TN; nephews and nieces, Kevin Parsons, Perry Evans, Jr., Matthew Hensley, Brandon Evans, Kristin Hensley and Lori Eggers; as well as a host of grand-nephews and nieces, whom she loved. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Sandra Davis and Janice Meers.

The family of Velma Davis will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronnie Rose presiding.

After the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to Sharps Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY, where graveside services will be held. Pallbearers will be Jerry Evans, Brandon Evans, Andrew Eggers, Brody Eggers, Herman Hensley and Gary Allen.
