Thomas Wayne Napier, age 60, of Ewing, VA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital, Middlesboro, KY, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 6, 1964, the son of the late Henry Clay Napier and Shirley Haynes Napier who survives him.
Thomas was a man of diverse interests and passions. He found joy in the thrill of NASCAR racing, the camaraderie of cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats, and the spirited games of the Washington Redskins. His hobbies reflected his creative and adventurous spirit, as he enjoyed metal detecting, bowling, shooting pool and carpentry work, earning recognition as a skilled craftsman.
In addition to his father, Thomas is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ray and Marie Haynes; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Sally Napier; his brother-in-law, Carl Daniels; sister-in-law, Faye Napier; aunts, Della May LewAllen, and Mary Irrene Gibbons; favorite uncles, Jessie Wayne Haynes, and Ricky Allen Haynes.
Thomas leaves behind his mother, Shirley Haynes Napier; his son, Steven Napier; daughter, Kayla Napier; mother of his children, Penny Napier; brothers, Andy Napier of Ewing, VA, Randall Napier of Nashville, TN, and Oscar (Joan) Napier of Ewing, VA; sisters, Judy Daniels of Harlan, KY, and Sandy Napier of Crossville, AL; grandson, Jordyn Wayne Napier; and a host of other family and friends.
Per the request of his family, all services will be private.
