Santos Contreras Solano

Santos Contreras Solano, age 38, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the ARH Hospital in Hazard, KY, after a brief illness. He was born on April 16, 1987, in Tepecoacuilco De Trujano, Mexico, to Fulgencio and Elvira Ocampo Maya.

Santos was a familiar face to many who dined at La Esparanza Mexican Restaurant in Middlesboro, KY. His outgoing personality and friendly nature made him a favorite server at the restaurant. He is remembered as one who always made those around him laugh.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Fulgencio and Elvira Maya; children, Angelita Milagros Contreras, Santos Emanuel Contreras, Luis Fernando Contreras, and Aldaltis Contreras; brother, Samuel Ocampo; and sisters, Adriana Contreras, Zarai Contreras, and Maribel Contreras; as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family of Santos Solano will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. A funeral prayer service will immediately follow at 10:00 p.m., with Father Yohanes Akoit, MSSCC, Celebrant, presiding.
