Reverend Kenneth Mason

Reverend Kenneth (Chubby) Mason, age 69, of Miracle, KY, passed away and claimed his reward on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at St. Joseph Main Hospital in Lexington, KY.  He was born May 17, 1951 at Ferndale, KY, the son of the late Roscoe Mason and Clara Barnett Mason.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Mason, Roger Mason, Bill Mason, Don Mason and Jerry Mason; sister, Vesta Baker; brothers-in-law, Les Baker and Robert Nichols; sister-in-law, Farrell Mason; and his father-in-law, Arthur Hotshot Cupp.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

His loving wife of 44 years, Cathy Mason of Miracle, KY

Daughter and Son-in-law, Amanda and Brian Rice of Middlesboro, KY

Sister, Kathy Nichols of Pineville, KY

Sisters-in-law, Connie Mason of Pineville, KY and Janice Baker of Hances Creek, KY

Mother-in-law, Maggie Lou Cupp of Miracle, KY

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Mary Ann Cupp of Pineville, KY

Sister-in-law, Sharon Miracle of Miracle, KY

Special friends, Reverend Clarence Mason and Reverend Coy Evans.

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Clarence Mason and Reverend Jared Smith                 presiding.

Pallbearers will Donnie Green, Gary Green, Paul Green, Mike Cupp, J.D. Hart and Kyle Fuson.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Kentucky State Highway Department workers at the Pineville, KY location.

Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral service at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.

All mandated Covid-19 regulations, including masks and social distancing, will be observed.
