Joyce Regina Powers, age 65, of Speedwell, TN, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 6:15 a.m. She was born October 15, 1959, in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of Guy and Margaret Evans.
Regina was a devoted member of the Baptist faith and was a member of Haynes Flat Baptist Church. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and nana. Regina loved her family and had a special love for each of her grandchildren. She cherished each moment spent with her family and grandchildren. Her kind spirit and nurturing nature touched everyone around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her baby brother, Larry Evans.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, Gary Powers; children, Nicole Johnson (Scottie), Adam Powers (Jessica) and her beloved fur baby, Bella. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brittany Brown (Aaron), Allie Johnson, Eli Johnson, Jaelyn Powers, Gracelyn Powers and Colton Powers; one great-grandchild, Vale Scarlet Brown; her sister, Pam West (Wayne Clotfelter); and her brother, Terry Evans.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Claiborne County Health and Rehabilitation Center and Suncrest Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Regina during her time of need. Additionally, they express sincere appreciation to the staff at Cawood Funeral Home for their support and assistance during this difficult time.
The family of Joyce Regina Powers will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Dwayne Byrd and Reverend Travis Dunn presiding. Music will be provided by The Powers Family.
Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. at Cawood Funeral Home, on Sunday, September 28, 2025, to travel in procession to Red Hill Cemetery in Speedwell, TN, where Regina will be laid to rest and graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Adam Powers, Scott Johnson, Eli Johnson, Terry Evans, Cameron Evans and Wayne Clotfelter.
