Pansy Etta Mason

Pansy Etta Mason, age 88, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Middlesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center, Middlesboro, KY. She was born on October 14, 1938, in Pineville, KY, to Dewey and Julia Scalf Parker, who preceded her in death.

Pansy was a woman of deep Pentecostal faith whose love for the Lord was an important part of her life. She accompanied her husband by playing the piano while he sang in church.  

She found great joy in the beauty of God's creation, especially the peacefulness of the forest, the songs of birds, and all living creatures. She had a special love for animals, particularly her beloved pets, who held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed painting, expressing her creativity through art, and had a special appreciation for beautiful jewelry.

In addition to her parents, Pansy was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffie Ray Mason; grandson, Jamie Merida; sister, Wilma Campbell; brothers, Shelby Parker and James Parker; and grandson-in-law, Michael Sizemore.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Randall Mason (Sereda) and Cynthia Mason; grandchildren, Christina Sizemore, Jeffrey Mason, Jennifer Lewis (James), Jake Mason (Kelsey), Dylan Lambdin, and Ryan Lambdin; great-grandchildren, Katelynn Sizemore, Indiana Mason, Liliana Mason, Finley Mason, Emily Cook, Joe Cook, Parker Mason, Lillyan Lewis, Aiden Mason, Macey Mason, James Mason, Case Merida, and Mia Lambdin Jackson (Tate); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family of Pansy Mason will receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend David King presiding.

At the conclusion of the graveside service, family and friends will travel in procession to Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY, where graveside services will be held in the Gazebo.
