Mitchell Vernon Helton

Mitchell Vernon Helton, age 82, of Molus, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 4, 2025. He was born April 18, 1943, the son of the late William and Ruth Hobbs Helton.

A devoted believer in the Baptist Faith, Mitchell's life was characterized by his strong values and unwavering faith. His warmth and kindness were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Mitchell was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Bonnie Pierson, Julia Hamilton, and Mary Ruth Helton, as well as his brothers, Ralph Helton, Carlo Helton, Donald Helton, Norman Helton, and William Helton. Their memories, along with his own, shaped the essence of his character and provided a rich tapestry of family history that he cherished throughout his life.

Mitchell leaves behind a special niece and caregiver, Dorothy Bowling, who provided him with love and support during his later years. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will deeply miss his presence.

Mitchell's legacy will endure through the many lives he touched and the love he shared with his family and friends. His life serves as a reminder of the importance of family, faith, and the enduring bonds that connect us all.

The family of Mitchell Vernon Helton will meet at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Hensley’s Cemetery in Blackmont, KY, where graveside services will held. Reverend Freeman Clark will be presiding.
