Michael "Mike" McManaway

Michael “Mike” McManaway, age 66, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Tenova North Hospital, Powell, TN, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 25, 1959, in Middlesboro, KY, to W.T. and Florentina “Tina” Mays McManaway, who preceded him in death.

Mike loved lake life, finding peace and joy on the water. Fishing was his favorite pastime, whether casting a line at the lake or out on the ocean. He was also quite skilled at the game of pool; a talent he took great pride in when he prepared to cue up against a friendly competitor. Mike always looked forward to a good meal shared with friends and was particularly partial to a perfectly cooked T-bone steak.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dena; daughter, Amanda “Mandy” (Tim) Ellis; grandchildren, Kaden Ellis, Kenna Money, and Fisher Money; stepson, Chad (Mackenzie) Money; and sister, Carolyn Welch, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
