Michael Marcum

Michael Todd Marcum, age 47, of London, KY, formerly of Pruden, TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at home. He was born on September 8, 1978, in Middlesboro, KY, to Larry Marcum and Arlene Teague Marcum Davis, who preceded him in death.

Michael loved a good book. He especially enjoyed the great western novels of Louis L’Amour. He enjoyed following his favorite sports teams, the Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Volunteers, and Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball. He also listened to all genres of music and appreciated the joy it brought to his life.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Ellen Marcum and maternal grandparents, James “Jimmy” and Leona Teague.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, James (Jeanetta) Marcum, Robin (Teddy) Freeman, and twin-sister, Kristi Marcum; nieces and nephews, Tyler (Hillary) Marcum, Ryan (Jessica) Marcum, Harley Marcum-his best friend, Tiffany (Dewayne) Wilder, Jessica Freeman, Brittany (Brandon) Wilder, Casey Freeman, Kaitlyn Green, Autumn Green, and Maci maiden as well as a host of great nieces and nephews, other family, and friends.

The family of Michael Marcum will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Waldroop presiding.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2026, family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. at Cawood Funeral Home to travel in procession to Hamblin Cemetery in Clairfield, TN, where graveside services will be held.

Pallbearers will be James Marcum, Tyler Marcum, Ryan Marcum, Harley Marcum, Casey Freeman, and Timmy Teague.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Teague.
