Mary Ellen Phillips Bradburn Good

Mary Ellen Phillips Bradburn Good, 72, of Harrogate, Tennessee, passed peacefully into her heavenly home on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Mary Ellen was born on September 3, 1954, at Notre Dame Hospital in Lynch, Kentucky, to the late Clayton and Jackie Phillips. A dedicated and compassionate woman, she devoted her life to the care of others — both in her profession and in her family.

She graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky Southeast Community College, earning an Associate of Science degree in Nursing. She began her distinguished nursing career as a Registered Nurse at Pineville Community Hospital in Pineville, Kentucky, where she faithfully served her community until her retirement.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Jackie Phillips; her first husband, Steve Bradburn; her second husband, Tommy Good; and her brother, David Phillips.

She is survived by her beloved son, Steven Bradburn, and his wife April, along with her cherished granddaughter, Emily. She is also survived by her siblings: Brenda Farmer of Lexington, Kentucky; Sonny Phillips (Linda) of Middlesboro, Kentucky; and Leslie Hoskins (Robert) of Bean Station, Tennessee. She is further survived by her niece, Michal Brooks of Lexington, Kentucky, and great-nephew, Cameron Brooks of Dubuque, Iowa.

Mary Ellen will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and her lifelong commitment to caring for others. She touched countless lives through her years of nursing and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service for Mary Ellen Phillips Bradburn Good will be held on Tuesday September 29 at 1:30pm at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in the Gazebo with the Rev. Astor Simpson presiding. Friends and family are asked to gather at 12:30pm for a fellowship time prior to the graveside service.
