Mary Linda Hunt, age 64, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 1, 1962, she was the cherished daughter of the late Jesse and Johnnie Hunt.
Linda held a deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and lived her life with a heart of gold. Known for her boundless generosity, she was always ready to help anyone in need. Linda possessed a deeply nurturing soul and loved every child she ever met. Nothing in this world compared to the joy she found in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a devoted mom to her four beloved fur babies. As an aunt, she shared a special, motherly bond with her nieces and nephews.
To Linda, everyone was family. If you knew her, you knew her favorite word was "babe," a sweet greeting she gave to everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse Hunt Jr., Richard Hunt, Carl Hunt, Allen Hunt and Joe Hunt; and her sister, Mary Hunt (and spouse of 20+ years, James Eddie Fuston).
She is survived by her three children, Heather and George Dixion of Middlesboro, KY, Amanda Jackson and spouse Jerry Nicely of Washburn, TN, and Gary and Alicia Wilson of Middlesboro, KY; brother, Lindsey (Toot) Hunt of Frankfort, KY; sister, Judy (Stewart) Bryant of Middlesboro, KY; and many grandbabies, great grandbabies, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A memorial service honoring Linda's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Fuson Chapel Church at Little Clear Creek in Pineville, KY, with Reverend David Fuson, Jr. (DeeDee) presiding. Special music will be provided by Noamia Fuson.
Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Linda's beautiful life.
