Mark Steven Laws

Mark Steven Laws, age 62, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He was born in Middlesboro, KY, on July 7, 1962, to Patsy and the late, Marion Laws.

Mark was of the Baptist faith who was saved as a young boy. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY.

Whether performing onstage, in front of the bright lights, or debuting as the resident butcher at IGA, Harrogate, TN, Mark was loved and adored by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. Most recently, Mark followed his musical passion by touring with the Alex Miller Band. He loved the outdoors and could fix or do most anything that needed to be done. He especially enjoyed being with his family, his loving wife Kristi, son and daughter-in-law Blake and Christy Laws, his grandchildren Brady and Caleigh Beth, and his constant sidekick, his dog, Lilly.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Marion Laws; mother-in-law, Linda Gulley; and brother-in-law and friend, Steve Gulley.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing his wife, Kristi; son, Blake (Christy) Laws; grandchildren, Brady and Caleigh Beth Laws; mother, Patsy Laws; brothers, Donnie (Anna) Laws and Randy (Barb) Laws; sister, Robin (Greg) Daniels; and father-in-law and friend, Don Gulley, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

There are no words that can explain how much he was loved and how much he will be missed.

The family of Mark Steven Laws will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Robinson presiding. Music will be provided by Kris Powers and Alex Miller.

At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to Kibert Cemetery, Arthur, TN, where graveside services will be held.  Pallbearers will be Donnie Laws, Jason Laws, Randy Laws, James Gray, Isaac Russell and Jacob Engle.
