Linda Lou Thomas Patterson

Linda Lou Thomas Patterson, age 75, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Middlesboro Health and Rehabilitation Facility, MIddlesboro, KY.  She was born in Clairfield, TN, on May 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Emitt and Beatrice King Thomas.

Linda was a beloved lifetime member of The Way of Holiness Church of God, Clairfield, TN.  She loved to sing and attend church with her family and friends.  Linda was an accomplished seamstress of over 41 years.  She last worked at La-Z-Boy Furniture, New Tazewell, TN, from which she retired.  Linda also loved gardening and tending to her flowers.  

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Emitt Thomas, Jr. and sisters, Barbara Sue Sweat, Mary Francis Thomas, Lisa Kay Thomas, and Kathy Ann Griffin.

She is survived by the following members of her family:  Raymond "Ray" Patterson; sons, Robert Ray (Michelle) Patterson and Shane Patrick (Amanda) Patterson; grandchildren, Nichole Patterson, Gabby Patterson (Brad Short), Cade Patterson, Kristen (Alex) Rouse, Lauren (John) Martin, Shelby Patterson, and Lucas Patterson; great-grandson, Bryson Short; and siblings, Gary (Geraldine) Thomas, Arville (Ellen) Thomas, Jackie Thomas, and Caroline (Larry) Bingham as well as a host of nieces nephews, other family and friends.

The family of Linda Patterson will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Smith and Rev. Orville Petrey presiding.  Music will be provided by The Way of Holiness Church of God choir.

A graveside service for Linda Patterson will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gazebo at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY.

Pallbearers will be Walter Washam, Randall Partin, Kelly Davis, Tommy Slusher, Brad Short, and Cade Patterson.

The family of Linda Patterson is grateful for the exceptional care provided by the staff of Middlesboro Health and Rehabilitation Facility and Kentucky Hospice Care.
