Katheryn Lee Napier age 83 of Ewing, Virginia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 surrounded by her family at Saint Joseph Hospital, London, Kentucky.
Katheryn was born to the late Millard and America Long Lee on February 8, 1939 in Rose Hill Virginia. She was a long-time member of White Rock Church of God Mountain Assembly in Ewing, Virginia. Going to church was something she loved. She had a creative spirit which she showed through her sewing, crafting, and gardening. Spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, was her favorite thing to do. She was beloved by many. Those close to her, both friends and family, called her “mom”.
In addition to her parents, Katheryn was preceded in death by her husband Albert Burton “Buster” Napier; brothers, Marion Lee, Elihew Lee, Alford Lee, Patton Lee, and Robert “Bob” Lee; sisters, Margaret Daniels, Cora Hensley, Mary Jane Vanover, and Minerva Hensley; great-grandson, Joshua Blackburne; and son-in-law, George Blackburne.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carolyn (Michael) Adams, Connie Blackburne and fiancé Christopher Aho, Vicky Diane (Bruce) Blackburne, and Matthew (Jennifer) Napier; grandchildren, Ericka Eagle, Jennifer Adams and boyfriend Wesley Ellison, Brandie (Billy) Adkins, Jason Blackburne, Lacey Eldridge, Jacob (Charity) Blackburne, Justin Blackburne, Eric (Hannah) Napier, Dexter Napier, and Sarah (Eric) Price. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family of Katheryn Lee Napier will receive friends on the evening of Monday, November 21, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, Kentucky.
A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Jody Moore presiding.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Lee Cemetery in Rose Hill, Virginia.
