Jewel Shackleford

Jewel Dean Shackleford, age 78, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019, peacefully at her home. She was born on July 25, 1941, the daughter of the late Robert Helton and Jessie Helton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Shackleford; brothers, Albert Helton, Gwendell Helton and Robert Jr. Helton; sisters, Bonnie Jean Whitehead and Pauline Gambrel; brother-in-law’s, Fred Whitehead, Wayne Gambrel, Fred Hoskins and Doc Miller; and son-in-law, Derwin Brooks.
She is survived by her children, Lana Brooks and Jimmy Shackleford; grandchildren, Kristy Brooks, Natosha (Joey) Pace, Brandon Scott Brooks, Jenna Shackleford and Janna Partin; great-grandchildren, Harper, Makensiee, Austin, Jaxtson, Audrey, Alley, Macy, Braylynn, Aubrey and Keegan James; brothers, Freeman (Janice) Helton and Arnold (Louis) Helton; sisters, Christine (Lynn) Money and Loraine Hoskins; special great aunt, Elvie Helton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at the Asher Cemetery in Cumberland Gap, TN with James Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Given, Clifford Patterson, Glenn Brooks, Chris Jenkins, Joey Pace, Shawn Hensley and Aaron Hatfield.
