Irene Crutchfield

Irene Hurst Crutchfield age 96, passed from this world to her heavenly home Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois, at her daughter’s home. She was born February 18, 1922 to the late Wheeler and Hattie Hurst.

Irene was the oldest member of Grace Way Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Crutchfield, infant daughter, Ilene Crutchfield, son-in-law, George Boots, and siblings; Otis Hurst, Ruby Hurst, Eva Hurst and Ora Smith.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Joan Boots, sons; Frank (Pat) Crutchfield and Bobby (Judy) Crutchfield, granddaughters; Lisa Crutchfield and Elizabeth (Zsolt) Deak, great granddaughters; Emily and Nora Deak, and special friends she loved dearly, Virgil and Betty Barnett along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 9 from 12:00PM until the funeral hour at 2:00PM in the Mountain View Chapel in Harrogate, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 9, at 2:00PM at the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Preston Smith presiding. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
