Hazel Wright

January 25, 1938 — July 4, 2019

Hazel Marie (Leach) Wright age 81 of Cumberland Gap, TN was born January 25, 1938 passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Arletta (Bean) Leach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by he father-in-law and mother-in-law Sterling and Maggie (Treece) Wright. Sister and brothers: Juanita and Clayton Sweat, Bonnie and Frank Pebley, Opal and James Evans, Shelby and Ray Clawson, Eugene Evans, Billy Joe Thomas, Eula and Hobart Perkey, Iva Smith, Irene and Charles Depew, Ray Wright, son-in-law: Jerry Branham, Sr., Great-grandson: Brantley Upton. She was of the Baptist faith.


Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband of 64 years, Franklin Wright, daughter Becky Jones, grandson and wife, Jerry and Chrissy Branham, Jr., great grandsons, Tommy, Matthew, Wyatt, Samuel, Levi and Bryson. Sisters: Billie Evans and Patsy Thomas and a host of other family and friends.

A very special THANK YOU to all the staff and nurses of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Creech Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 12 noon in the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Byrd and Rev. Gary Mundy officiating. Music provided by Kris Wilburn. Graveside services will immediately follow in the Old Red Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Bradley Carroll, Chad Hall, Gordon Sweat, Joe McHenry, Jerry Neal and Andy Welch.
Honorary Pallbearers: Ronnie Hawk, Kenny Treece, Jay Sheldon, Dan Evans, Jason Patterson and Eddie Thomas.
