Garrett Jackson, Jr.

Garrett “Bunny” Jackson, age 67, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.

He was born on August 25, 1951 to the late Garrett Jackson, Sr. and Margie Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ernest Wayne Jackson and Hershel Jackson.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Brothers: Jerry Jackson, Charles (LaDessa) Jackson, Luther (Angie) Jackson and Robert Jackson

Sisters: Shirley Underwood and Mary Hurst

Daughter: Rebecca (Daniel) McConnell

Son: Joshua Jackson

Grandchildren: Emma Jackson and Katherine McConnell

And a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Neil Barry and his staff and to Dr. Lee and the staff of the Irene & Howard H. Baker Cancer Treatment Center.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Creech Funeral Home chapel.

Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Barnett presiding. Graveside service will follow the funeral service in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be: James Gray, Joshua Jackson, Austin Jackson, Chris Jackson, Aiden Jackson and Evan Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Mark Barton, Benny Barton, Ronnie Janeway, Norman Barnett, Tony Harris and Jerry Shackelford.
