Damon Freddie Joe Ditty, age 79, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital in Middlesboro, KY.  He was born September 29, 1942, the son of Aneita Ditty and the late William Fred Ditty.

Freddie Joe was the owner and operator of the City Body Shop for more than 40 years.  He started there with his father, then bought it to operate as his own.  He was also a member of the American Legion.

In addition to his father, William Fred Ditty, Freddie Joe is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Damon Ditty; brother, Orlando Joe Ditty; grandparents, Damon and Hazel Williams and William and Maggie Ditty; and his brother-in-law, Mitchell Hurst.

Freddie Joe leaves behind his mother, Aneita Ditty of Middlesboro, KY; daughter, Rhonda (Billy) Arnold of Knoxville, TN; sister, Brenda Hurst of Middlesboro, KY; grandchildren, Lucas (Ashley) Arnold and Amanda (Brock) Keener, both of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren, Raylan, Tyson, Morgan, Cameron, Mia and Adeline; one life-long friend, Beverly Crumley as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family of Damon (Freddie Joe) Ditty will gather for a graveside service on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with Rev. Edward Noonchester, Jr. officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Middlesboro Nursing and Rehab Facility, Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital ICU Nurses and Dr. CA Moore.
