Edith Taylor

Edith Wilder Taylor, 84, of Miracle, KY, passed away March 5, 2021 peacefully at her home. She was born November 7th 1936, to Glessie and Jessie Cupp. Edith was a member of Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Earl Wilder, daughter Karen McCarty, and brothers Hubert, Arthur (Hot Shot), J.C., Oscar, Hilary, Freeman, Robert, and Harold Cupp.

She survived by her husband of 29 years Roy Taylor, Daughters Phyllis Wilder, Miracle KY, and Dana Ward, Miracle, KY, Son Jim (Laurie)Wilder, Clay, KY, Stepchildren Kim(Steve) Baker, Ohio, Rhonda (Ray) Hannah Florida, Sherri Grove, Michigan, and Brian Taylor, Florida. Grandchildren Sean (Heather) McCarty, Patrick McCarty, Jeremy (Ramona) Wilder, Ryan (Courtney) Wilder, Morgan (Justin) Lasley, Tyler (Leigha) Lee. Step Grandchildren David, Jennifer, Patrick, Jamie, Renee, Travis, Nicole, Scottie, Chuckie, Sarah. Great Grandchildren  Jesse, Bryar, Parker, Kinzley, Adalyn. Step great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Elania, Jaylah, Bee, Lucas, Ava, Sophia, Peyton, Easton, Savannah, Charlotte, Trypp, Isabelle, Hunter and Robert. Sisters Mag, Linda, Earlene and brother Don. Special family Goldina and Marion Lawson. And a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Cawood Funeral Home, Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm in the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with Marion Lawson and Rev. David Miracle officiating.  Music will be provided by Thomasa Risner. Graveside services will immediately follow in the Wilder Family Cemetery, Miracle, KY.  Mrs. Taylor’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
