Donald Burnell "Judge" Grissom

Donald Burnell Grissom, age 77, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was born January 3, 1946, in Edmonton, Kentucky. Donald was the son of Edd and Fannie Sowers Grissom. Donald spent over 30 years running heavy equipment throughout the tri-state area. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jean Grissom; his siblings, Kathryn Graves, Raymond Grissom, Grace Grimshaw, Francis Raypole, Louise Langolf, Joe Grissom, Louis Grissom, and Jack Grissom.

Donald is survived by the following members of his family: his sister, Mary Hall; his daughters, Tinka Wilson and her husband Thomas, Jenna Voges and her husband Bill, Connie Copher and her husband William, and Donna Dixon and her husband Shane.

Grandchildren: Thomasa Wilson and her husband Adam Lefevers, Zain Wilson and his wife Amber, Jacob Voges, Brenna Hale and her husband Brandon, Elizabeth Dixon, Isabella Copher, and Annabella Copher.

Great-grandchildren: Hunter Wilson, Corbin Wilson, and Brinley Wilson.

In addition to those listed, a host of other friends and family are left to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home in Middlesboro, KY. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Greene officiating.  Graveside services will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Hurst Cemetery in Middlesboro, KY.  Family and friends will meet at Cawood Funeral Home Monday January 23, 2023, at 10:30am to join in procession to the graveside ceremony.

Pallbearers: Zain Wilson, Jacob Voges, Brandon Hale, Adam Voges, Clay Greene, and Adam Lefevers.
