Della Mae Lewis

Della Mae Evans Lewis, age 96, passed away on June 12, 2023, in Winchester, Kentucky.  She was born on November 12, 1926, in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Shelt and Mittie Evans. 

In addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by her husband, Morson Lewis; brothers Sil “Bud” Evans, Floyd “Buster” Evans, and Burl Evans; sisters, Haster Buell, Lois Lawson, Oppie “Annie” Mason; six sons, George, Marion, David, Donald, Lester, and Mark Lewis.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Marshall Lewis and Douglas (Kellie) Lewis; daughters, Ethel Burson, Nancy (Mark) Armstrong, Barbara Lewis, and Mary (Randy) Dishman; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 

The family of Della Mae Evans Lewis will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, Kentucky.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Padgett presiding.  At the conclusion of the service, family and friends will follow in procession to Evans Cemetery at Little Clear Creek in Pineville, Kentucky where a graveside service will be held.
