David Wayne Moore

David Wayne Moore, age 70, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 29, 1954, in Middlesboro, KY.

David found great pleasure exploring the mountains that surrounded him. He loved getting on his four-wheeler to search for the perfect spot to pick blackberries. David also possessed a true green thumb which was revealed in the beautiful rosebushes he cultivated around his home.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Ila Ruth Moore Anderson; stepfather, Bill Anderson; grandfather, Elick Moore; grandmother, Mossy Adams Moore; brother, Billy Joe Anderson; and sister, Glenda Kay Anderson Marsee.

He is survived by his brothers, Donald Ray Anderson, James Calvin Anderson, Freddie Lee Anderson, and George Cephus Barnett, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family of David Wayne Moore will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.

At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to the Anderson Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY, where graveside services will be held.

Pallbearers will be Mike Anderson, Cephus Barnett, Tom Anderson, Chris Anderson, Derick Wilder, and Little Chris Anderson.
