Cynthia D. Cosby

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Cynthia D. Cosby, age 58. She passed away unexpectedly in her home in Middlesboro, KY, on Monday, September 28, 2026. She was born in Middlesboro, KY, on August 21, 1968, to Willard and Saundra Cosby. She lived a quiet, private life as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.

Cindi’s quiet and reserved nature brought a sense of comfort and peace to all those that knew her best, but make no mistake because she was always a redneck woman at heart! Cindi was artistic, creative, and she had a special love for animals. Whether it was her beloved Jack Russells or her Cockatiel, children and animals alike gravitated to her loving and comforting spirit. Above all, Cindi was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and her absence here in this world leaves an undeniable heartache to all those that will miss the love and laughs they shared.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonas Wakin and her father, Willard Cosby.

Left to miss her are her children: Jessica Jones, Jennifer Jones, Scottie and Tai Jones, and their father Scott Jones. She was a loving mammaw and leaves behind four grandchildren: Haven and DJ Lawson, Noah Wakin, Brayden Jones, and Levi Adkins. She is also survived by her mother, Saundra Cosby; siblings: Regina and Bobby Goodman, Wayne Cosby, and Jody and Terri Cosby; as well as two nieces, Shannon and Jeff Hatfield and Danielle and Cameron Caldwell.
