Clinton "Bear" Williams

Clinton Arthur Williams, also known as "Bear", age 65, of Middlesboro, KY, went home to the arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY. He was born on December 8, 1960, in Middlesboro, KY to the late Nathaniel and Annetta Ballenger Williams, who preceded him in death.

Clint brought a larger-than-life personality into the lives of his family and everyone fortunate enough to know him. At a young age, Clint chose to follow his mother’s faithful lead, accepting Christ into his heart and joining Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He deeply valued his faith and later rededicated his life to the Lord as an adult.

To those who knew him personally, he was always “Bear,” a nickname earned through his standout years playing sports at Middlesboro High School. A deeply talented high school football player, Clint held a lifelong passion for the game and was a fiercely proud, devoted fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. More than anything, Clint loved spending time with his friends, making lasting memories, sharing laughs, and truly embracing the joy of life.

Throughout his professional life, Clint worked for several years at Denim Finishers and Cumberland Gap Provision. He later moved to Indiana, where he married Angie Daniels and lovingly embraced the role of helping raise her daughter, Alexis Daniels, whom he treasured deeply as his own daughter. In his later years, Clint returned home to Middlesboro to retire, reconnecting with his family and lifelong friends.

In addition to his beloved parents, Clint was preceded in death by his brother, Julius Williams and nephew, Cameron Shoulders.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Nathaniel "Tubby" Williams, Jr. (Darlene), Anita Williams, Mildred Williams, Brian Williams, Joann Shoulders (Phillip), Krista Williams, and Susan Williams; stepdaughter, Alexis Daniels; sister-in-law, Carolyn Williams; his aunts and uncles, Alberta (Richard) Blackburn, Johnny Graster and Carrie Bing Ballinger; special nieces, Jordyn Beal and Tanisha Williams; and great-niece, Anna Beal. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

The family of Clint Williams will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Clark serving as officiant.
