Cledith Jones Kishpaugh

Cledith Jones Kishpaugh, age 79, of Frakes, KY, entered her Heavenly home on March 26, 2026. She was born in Frakes, KY, on November 16, 1946, to Charles Edward Jones and Florence Lambdin (Jones) Partin who preceded her in death.

Cledith was a long-time employee of Pine Mountain State Resort Park, Pineville, KY, where she was a familiar presence in the lodge’s restaurant working as a cook and server. She was a talented musician, using both her voice and guitar to entertain crowds at local events and gatherings as a member of the band, Third Shift. She didn’t just perform—she also wrote songs that reflected her life, her surroundings, and the stories she held. Cledith held on to her joy for performing for long as her health would allow, letting it go only after she was no longer able. Cledith was raised in the Holiness Faith and attended several churches throughout her lifetime. She was a believer who strove daily to follow God’s plan for her life.

In addition to her parents, Cledith was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawanna Kay Ellis and siblings, Andy Jones, Dovie Baker, Willie “Butch” Jones, Paul Jones, Henry J. Jones, and Carl B. “Red” Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Varilla Shirl Neal and Willie (Lisa) Murray; siblings, Mac (Ruby) Jones, David Jones, and Joe (Teresa) Jones; and special friends, Lois McGeorge and Jan Gibson as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family of Cledith Kishpaugh will receive friends on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.

Graveside services will be private.
