Christopher Leonard Pitz

Christopher Leonard Pitz, age 36, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. He was born August 3, 1988, in Somerset, KY, the son of Matthew Leonard Pitz and Gloria Ann Ramsey.

Christopher’s passion for life was evident in everything he did. He was an avid gamer who found joy and excitement in the world of virtual adventures, and he cherished moments spent fishing, often finding peace by the water.

His adventurous spirit also led him to carve out a successful career in the construction and oil fields of North Dakota. Passionate about all things automotive, Christopher had a profound appreciation for cars, which he considered not just a mode of transportation, but also a reflection of his dynamic personality.

He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart and infectious zest for life. The mark he left on his family and friends will forever be a source of inspiration and love. 

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jenny Pitz; paternal grandfather, Leonard Anthony Pitz; maternal grandmother, Florence Cobb King; Maternal grandfather, Charles King; step-grandfather, John Lewis Browning; uncles, Stephen Aaron Pitz and Randy King, Sr.; and his cousin, Randy King, Jr. 

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Ann Ramsey; father, Matthew Leonard Pitz; brother, Matthew C. Pitz; sisters, Candance Ramsey and Lindsay N. Pitz-Dunn; paternal grandmother, Barbara F. Browning; aunts, Pamela Pitz Lucas, Janice King, Luvada King, Brenda Evans, Phyllis Wilson, Denice Estep and Charlotte Lacey; cousins, Paige R. Lucas, Megan E. Lucas, Jennifer Wilson and son, Chris Wilson, Melissa Thacker, Libby Hurst, Dale Hall, Ryan Hall, Travis Hall, Charles Wilson, Collen Wilson, Fallan Lacey, Courtney Paige, Chelsea Lynn, Chely Estep and Emily Childers; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

The family will hold a graveside service for Christopher Leonard Pitz on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Middlesboro, KY.
