Charles Franklin "Frankie" Green

Charles Franklin "Frankie" Green, age 70, of Pineville, KY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at North Knoxville Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. He was born in Pineville, KY, on October 2, 1955, to Charles "Monk" and Faye Helton Green, who preceded him in death.

Whether working or relaxing, Frankie was never far from the mountains he called home. He spent many years in the coal mining industry. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting in those same mountains. When he left the coal mines, he spent several years working in the Bell County School System, from which he retired. Throughout his life, he cherished all the friends he made over the years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, JoAnn Garnett Green; daughters, Hope (Dennis) Carroll and Brandy (Ray “Hap” Jr.) Harm; siblings, John (Charlotte) Green, Jody (Junith) Greene, and Suzy (Dallas) Baker; nieces and nephews, Hannah (Brian) Sizemore, Joshua Greene, Jessica (Allen) Gilbert, Kayla (Eric) Emery, and Brian (Sue) Allen; great-nieces and nephews, Marli, Cash, Liam, Willow, Eli, Wesley, Ali, Casey, Amy, and Charli; and sisters-in-law, June (Eddie) Allen and Ina Garnett as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family of "Frankie" Green will receive friends on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Pineville Cemetery, Pineville, KY, with Rev. Mike Welch presiding.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
