Burt Daniel

Burt O. Daniel, age 71, a resident of New Tazewell, Tennessee, passed away at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Monday, December 23, 2019.

He was born on December 1, 1948. The son of the late Britt and Mary Jane Daniel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 13 years, Yvonne Southerland; his grandson, Jacob Daniels; sisters, Lori Cox and Beatrice Daniel; and his brothers, Emo Daniel, Britt Daniel, Jr. and Mar Daniel.

He was of the Baptist faith, loved to worship the Lord and loved to attend church. In addition to his love for the Lord, he also loved musical instruments, airplanes, hunting, fishing and anything that involved the outdoors.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Sisters: Allene (Gerald) Saylor, Viola Pascal and Margaret Daniel

Brother: E.V. Daniel

Children: Melissa Daniels, Bert Alan (DeeDee) Daniels, Regina (Robert) Grant, April Daniels, Danielle Williams, Michelle Madden and Jasper Daniels

Grandchildren: Phillip “P.J.” Johnson, Jacob Grant, Lucas Grant, Bianca Daniels, Marissa Daniels, Aashna Daniels, Codey Daniels, Micah Williams, Carly Madden, Billy Jo Madden and Skylar Farley

Nephews: Aaron Kinder, Dewayne Kinder and Vernon Daniel

And a host of many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Creech Funeral Home in Middlesboro, Kentucky. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Jeff Craig and Mr. Doug Daniel presiding. Graveside services will follow the funeral in the Daniel Cemetery in Smith, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Aaron Kinder, Dewayne Kinder, Robert Grant, Bobby Daniels, Vernon Daniel, Dakota Daniel, Jasper Daniels and Codey Daniels.
