Arnold Allen, age 80, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Middlesboro ARH Hospital, Middlesboro, KY. He was born on December 10, 1944, in Middlesboro, KY, to W. Forster and Bessie Marsee Allen, who preceded him in death.
Arnold was a man who valued hard work. When he did have free time, he enjoyed tinkering with old cars. He was a kind soul who had a soft spot for animals. He was known to stop whatever he was doing to tend to an animal in need or to offer a rub or kind work to a four-legged visitor.
In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Linda Allen; brother, David Allen, and sister, Barbara Greene.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Eddie (Melissa) Allen and Darin (Sharon) Allen; daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Napier; grandchildren, Isaac Allen (Kaia Treadway), Ashley (Chris) Wright, Gary (Katie) Shackelford, Eric (Hannah) Napier, Dexter Napier (Grace Hargraves), and Sarah (Eric) Price; great-grandchildren, Shaileigh Wright, Nevaeh Wright, Darina Wright, Lola Shackelford, Madelyn Napier, Oaklynn Price, and Lainey Price; siblings, Sue Sparks, Margie Barnwell, Bill Forest Allen, and Larry (Jeannie) Allen; girlfriend, Virgina Korotenko, who loved him so very much; two very special uncles, Robert Marcum and O.D. Marsee; special cousin, Bill “Hampton” Allen; special friends, Don Bathis “Donnie Ford”, Kevin Hawkins, Jason Letendre, and Jesse Hoover; and his fur baby, Girl as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family of Arnold Allen will receive friends on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie Lyke and brother-in-law, James Payne presiding. Music will be provided by Kathy Dillman Spurlock.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Mason Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Sparks, Will Allen, Elgie Greene, Thomas Barnwell, Jasper Payne, and Kevin Hawkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Mason, Darrell Mason, and Dexter Mason, Jr.
