Bobby Short

Bobby Ray Short, age 90, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at his home.  He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Shelby Jean Short.  Bobby was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on January 1, 1933 to the late John and Gracie Blair Short.

Bobby was a long-time member of Red Oak Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky.  He retired from the Middlesboro Tanning Company in Middlesboro, Kentucky.  He enjoyed time spent outdoors, especially four-wheeling.  He loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tammy (Bernie) Young; son, Bobby Joe Short; granddaughter, Tiffany Brock and her husband Dominic Lester of Middlesboro, Kentucky; grandson, David Brock of Beckley, West Virginia; great-grandchildren, Shelby Buckley, Brodie North, and Elijah North; and a special young man that he loved dearly, Harvey Johnson.

The family of Bobby Ray Short will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, Kentucky.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Gower presiding.
